DP World in East Africa required a new generator at their new Container Terminal Project to ensure the standby power provided is sufficient to support all operations of the new facility. THE CHALLENGE: The new generator is required to be located outdoors between two buildings in a confined space. Because of the restrictions, a generator with a Containerized Weatherproof enclosure with a sound level of less than 80dB’s at a one-meter distance to ensure no disturbance to the people working inside the building and a fuel storage capacity of 72 hours for continuous operation.  The generator has to be installed near two buildings and fuel storage was a big hazard to a place near generator and buildings.
